NEARLY 100 per cent of runners who finished the English Half Marathon last year say they are likely to take on the challenge again.
A survey of runners in last year’s English Half Marathon has showed that 98 per cent of finishers said they are likely to take part in the event again, with 73 per cent likely to recommend it to a friend.
This year’s event is less than three months away, with 3,000 runners already signed up with the half marathon, 10k and one-mile fun run on September 18.
Rob Griffiths, director of event organisers Contest Sports, said: “We listen to our runner – they in turn drive out the kind of race they want.
“We know what excites them, what makes them choose our event over any other and try to provide participants with exactly what they’d like to find in a road-running event.
“Together with Warrington Borough Council we’ve gone to great lengths to design a racecourse that is at the same time smooth and scenic – catering to fast and recreational runners alike.”
