A MAN attempted to drag a teenager into bushes in Orford Park but fled the scene when he was disrupted by a passing cyclist.
Police have released details of the suspect following the attack on Thursday, June 6, between 8.10am and 8.35am.
The 17-year-old victim travelled on the number 21 bus from Warrington Bus Station and headed in the direction of at Hallfields Road.
As she walked across Orford Park on the left side of the pathway towards Orford Jubilee Hub, a man approached her from behind and grabbed her left arm forcefully.
He then attempted to pull her towards the bushes but moments later a cyclist rode past and the man let go and fled towards Orford Jubilee Hub.
The man is described as being between 18 to 20 years old, around 5ft 3ins to 5ft 4ins with a dark brown fringe and a spotty complexion.
He was wearing a grey tracksuit with a hood and a white T-shirt underneath.
Anyone with information has been urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 citing incident number CC16177961 and ask to speak to PC Adam Gorman or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
