AKINWALE Arobieke will be able to lawfully enter the Warrington borough after persuading a judge to overturn a long standing sexual offences prevention order.

The 54-year-old served three years in prison for 15 harassment offences following a 2003 court case in which many of the victims were young sportsmen from Warrington.

The unusual court order banning him from touching people’s muscles, asking them to do squats and setting foot in the town had been in place since his release from prison in 2006.

He had challenged the SOPO numerous times over the past decade and this week it was overturned by a judge at Manchester Crown Court.

It has been reported Judge Mansell tried to establish his apparent obsession with the 'musculature, or muscular build, of the male form'.

Mr Arobieke, who addressed the court himself, admitted an interest but denied any sexual motivation and said the SOPO had made his life a misery.

He has vowed to conduct himself properly and not 'go to wander the streets causing havoc.'

Asked about the ruling Merseyside Police, which led the 2003 case, said it 'notes the decision of the court in relation to the discharge of the Sexual Offences Prevention Order for Mr Arobieke'.
