A FRESH planning application for a Walton travellers site is set to be lodged – almost seven months after one was thrown out at the Town Hall.
The last plan for Two Acre Caravan Park, on Warrington Road, was rejected by the development management committee in October.
Applicant Bill Smith submitted a permanent application, which would have allowed him to use the land as a travellers residential site for 24 permanent pitches, with a total of 31 caravans, in addition to a day room, site office and four amenity buildings, if passed.
The site has since been deemed 'unauthorised' as temporary consent for accommodation elapsed and it was suggested an appeal could take place.
But the Warrington Guardian understands discussions have been ongoing between the council and applicant in recent months, with another planning application set to be submitted in the 'near future'.
