OFFICERS are appealing for the public’s help to find a prisoner wanted for absconding from HMP and YOI Thorn Cross.
Lewis Sinclair is wanted after escaping from the prison in Appleton Thorn on February 24, where he was serving a sentence for assault.
The 33-year-old is known to have links to the Partington, Urmston and Salford areas of Greater Manchester.
Police sergeant Scott Braithwaite of GMP’s South Manchester Division said: “Lewis Sinclair is wanted after absconding from Thorn Cross Prison and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have information about where he is.
“I would like to stress that anybody found harbouring him is committing a criminal offence and will face prosecution.”
Anybody with information can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
