A WOMAN was led to safety by firefighters following a blaze at a house in Orford.
Two fire crews attended the property on Greenwood Crescent at 12.40am this morning.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire said: "The casualty was handed into the care of the ambulance service and firefighters made sure the fire was out and cleared smoke from the property.
"An investigation into the cause of the fire is under way.
"Smoke alarms were fitted and activated, alerting the householder to the fire, prompting her to call 999."
