A CHINOOK helicopter caused quite the stir on social media after it was spotted flying low over the town yesterday, Wednesday.
Twitter and Facebook were flooded with pictures of the military helicopter after it was seen flying in the direction of Victoria Park in Latchford at around 2.30pm before heading out of the town.
While the Ministry of Defence were unable look into the specific details of the flight, the helicopter was most likely taking part in a training exercise as they had not been alerted to any issues in the area.
A spokesman said: "We conduct training exercises all over the country and this was most likely the reason."
