A 54-YEAR-OLD man who was arrested after a man died following a collision in Orford in August will face no further action over the death.

Police were called to the scene on Hallfields Road shortly after midnight on August 10 and Steve Donoghue, 58, who was known to some as Stephen, suffered fatal injuries.

The suspect was arrested on the same day on suspicion of death by dangerous driving, failure to stop after an accident and failure to report an accident.

But today, Tuesday, following investigations, police confirmed no further action will be carried out in relation to the death by dangerous driving allegation.

However, the man will still be summonsed to court for the other offences.

Steve, who had five children and five adopted children, was living in Orford at the time of the crash.

His son Wayne Donoghue, 36, described his father as an 'outgoing man who would do anything for anyone'.
