This is Cheshire's multi-animal charity fundraising day specially for animal lovers everywhere.
It starts at 11.30am with an animal blessing service in St Mary's Church, Astbury. At the same time in the grounds of the fabulous 1705 rectory, over 12 animal charities and many animal supporting commercial stalls open.
Registration for the Fun Dog Show (14 classes) which commences at 12.45pm also begins at 11.30am. Charities represented include the Dogs Trust, Mid-Cheshire Animal Welfare, RSPCA, the Cinnamon Trust, Windyway Trust, Cats Protection, Cheshire Wildlife Trust, British Chelonia Group (tortoises & terrapins) and more.
Refreshments and snacks are available throughout the day in the adjacent village hall, whilst for children there are games, face painting and for their parents stalls offering animal welfare advice, grooming, pet sitting services, insurance, pet food, animal accessories, photography and animal art. Entry and parking is free with spaces allocated for the disabled. A collection will be taken during the church service.
