NORTH Cheshire Hospitals Trust has been named as one of the 40 best performing hospital trusts by a firm of consultants.
The trust, which runs Warrington and Halton General hospitals, was one of 130 NHS acute trusts reviewed across the country.
Performances were measured against a number of key indicators, including staff survey results, mortality rates and waiting times.
The review was carried out by CHKS, which specialises in NHS work.
Catherine Beardshaw, the trust chief executive, said: "We is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of all our staff."
