FRESH from a relaxing spa treatment at the Grosvenor, Leonie has teamed up with her childhood friend Victoria Bebb to create a new website for yummy mummies.

Mumsknowsbest.co.uk was set up in a bid to help new and prospective mums get all the information they need without having to trawl around the web.

Victoria, who gave up a marketing career to start the site, said: "When I first got pregnant I felt completely ignorant despite having a lot of support from my mum.

"I wasted lots of time trawling the internet trying to find what I wanted and often had to give up. So it gave me the idea to have one easy-to-use website which would give mums and pregnant women access to all the information they need, not only on the site, but also through links to other sites that are all tried and tested."

Victoria and Leonie, both 34, have known each other since they were seven.

By coincidence they became mums for the first time within weeks of each other and both gave birth to girls, India and Sasha, who are now three. Since then, Victoria and Leonie have each had another child. Leonie, who helps to run the site, which has endorsement from the National Childbirth Ttust, said: "Victoria and I both know what it's like to juggle a career and two young children.

"Our busy lives mean we don't have time to spend hours surfing the web to find what we need which is why we wanted to create a simple, unfussy, straight-talking site covering everything from antenatal classes to weaning to childcare."

Mumknowsbest.co.uk is a national site but also includes local information, as well as a forum, reviews, baby boutique, book club, ideas, offers and competitions.

Victoria added: "We hope to add to the sort of advice you would get from your mum and the tips you might pick up from friends but with one key difference - we tell you right at the start rather than as you go along!"
