CATERING students put their gastronomic skills to the test when they prepared some culinary delights for at the Warrington Mayor's charity dinner.
Around 40 select people were invited to the exclusive event, which was held in the new Buckley's suite at the Warrington Collegiate's state-of-the-art £27million Winwick Road campus.
Guests were treated to a gourmet meal courtesy of the Collegiate's catering and hospitality students followed by an entertaining after dinner talk by television personality Steve Terry, from TV's Boot Sale Challenge.
Steve also organised a charity auction for the night featuring some 1930s art deco glass, 1960s collectibles, china figurines and even some Sven-Göran Eriksson air fresheners!
Steve said: "There's a collectors' market even for very bizarre items such as this."
The prestigious evening raised just over £800 for the mayor's charities - cancer support and research and support for small community and charitable groups.
