CHESTER Road swing bridge will be closed for two days according to a temporary traffic order.
Warrington Borough Council will shut the road and walk on the swing bridge over the Manchester Ship Canal on June 2.
It is expected to be closed for two days. However, if the work cannot be completed in this time the closure will be in place on June 10.
The closure will be in place as and when the signs are displayed on site.
The closure is required to carry out structural maintenance work on the bridge.
The alternative route will be via A56 Walton Road, A49 London Road, Wilderspool Causeway, A5060 Chester Road and vice versa.
