POLICE descended on Fairfield last night following reports of a man armed with a knife.
Officers rushed to the scene near to Diamond Fish Bar on Manchester Road at 9.40pm yesterday, Tuesday.
A search was carried out of the surrounding area but no one was found matching the description.
Police have confirmed that no arrests have been made.
