A TAXI dash cam has caught the moment two suspected bike thieves struck at a shopping centre in front of members of the public.
CCTV footage released by Cheshire Police shows two men walking up to a number of bicycles which are locked up outside Asda Birchwood at around 5.15pm on Friday, October 9.
Police allege that one of the men used pliers or cutters to break the lock within seconds before cycling off on the stolen property.
Officers have now launched an investigation to trace the two men in the CCTV footage and have urged anyone with information to come forward.
Cheshire Police want to remind cyclists of the dangerous of using cheaper chains to lock up their property in the wake of the alleged theft.
