ITALIAN restaurant Prezzo is set to be the latest to move into Warrington town centre.

A planning application has been submitted to open the restaurant in a vacant unit in Golden Square in the Old Fish Market.

It will be close to existing eateries Ask, Nando's, Bap and Rhode Island Coffee.

The application to ratify the design of Prezzo will be discussed by council planners before a final decision is made.

But, most importantly, what can foodies expect to see on the menu should the restaurant be approved?

The latest menu to be served in the popular chain includes the traditional Italian meals that punters have come to expect.

But while the classic toppings and pasta sauces feature on the menu, there is also a variety of dishes with different flavour combinations for customers to feast on.

Fennel-infused pork, tomato, mozzarella and sweet roquito chilli peppers on a baked flatbread anyone?

Or perhaps you can round it off with truffle oil infused fries with grana padano cheese and parsley?

There is also options for the vegetarian, gluten and lactose free among us.

Pizza prizes start from £7.95 for a classic margherita pizza and from £7.95 for pasta.

But for now those wishing to get their Prezzo fix must travel to Manchester city centre, Salford Quays or Cheshire Oaks.

Let us know if you will be popping into Prezzo if the restaurant gets the green light.
