WARRINGTON’s historic Cavaillé-Coll organ will be brought back to life later this month when Jonathan Kingston performs a recital at the Parr Hall.
The Parr Hall is home to one of the few remaining Cavaillé-Coll organs in the country which is still within its original specification.
The organ has been at the Parr Hall since 1925 having been moved there from Ketton Hall near Stamford and has been a feature of the stage ever since.
Jonathan Kingston studied the organ, one of England’s finest, with Professor Ian Tracey of Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral and has broadcasted live on BBC television and radio.
He has appeared with several orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, the English Symphony Orchestra, The Halle and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.
The event takes place on Monday October 26 at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £5 and available at pyramidparrhall.com or by calling 442345.
