THREE Warrington racers were out strutting their stuff at Oulton Park’s BARC Club Car Championship over the weekend.
Star of the show was Paul Platt, who has been British Class Champion in the 250cc Class Karts for the last four years.
In his two races, he won the first race and in the second race was lying first with five laps left to go, but uncharacteristically spun and lost three places. Disaster! Platt got the kart back on the track and then raced superbly to win those places back and take the chequered flag for first in his Class again.
Richard Roundell, with his Vauxhall Vectra, finished fifth in the first race (after a cautious start to the race) and third in the second race out of seven starters.
Peter Higton, with his Toyota MR2, was in good form and for the two races finished fourth and third in his class out of 12 starters – results that he was very pleased with.
