DENNIS Wild, husband of Jacqueline Wild, died on July 28, aged 80.
Mr Wild, from Birchwood, was born in Warrington and had lived in Toronto, Canada.
He was employed as a painter and decorator, worked at Thames Case, Bass Charrington, and had served with the Irish Guards.
Mr Wild was a co-founder of the Guards Association in Warrington, enjoyed cruise holidays and loved the company of family and friends, especially his great-granddaughters.
He was a regular worshipper at St Margaret’s Church.
He leaves his wife, a daughter, a grandson and two greatgranddaughters.
A service was held on August 5 at St Margaret’s Church, Orford, followed by cremation at Walton Lea.
The Rev John McCauley officiated. His ashes are to be interred at St Margaret’s at a later date.
Arrangements were made by Co-operative Funeralcare.
