JOHN (Jack) Lowe, husband of the late Barbara Lowe, died on June 27, aged 87.

Mr Lowe, from Penketh, lived in Latchford, Bruche, Woolston, Thelwall and Abergele.

He was employed for 45 years at J Crosfield & Son, working in the accounts department and progressed to a production planner before retirement.

He had served with the South Lancs Regiment during the Second World War.

Mr Lowe enjoyed quizzes, gardening, swimming and watching the Wolves.

In his younger days he had played rugby for Latchford and Crosfields and had taken part in swimming events, cricket and football for Crosfields, and was captain of the Crosfield’s football team in 1951.

He enjoyed travelling to France to visit his daughter and Spalding to visit his brother.

He also liked fishing and watching films.

Mr Lowe leaves three daughters, seven grandchildren, a greatgranddaughter and a brother.

A service and cremation was held on July 10 at Walton Lea.

The Rev Jackie Bellfield officiated.
