MORE than one hundred suspects have been arrested following the relaunch of Operation Hatay

The final day of operation saw teams across the force, working together to locate and arrest 102 outstanding offenders.

Those arrested were wanted for fail-to-attend warrants, section 18 assault, sexual assault, theft and breach of restraining orders.

Superintendent Pete Crowcroft said: “A significant number of wanted people were detained during the course of the week, which is reassuring news for their victims.

“Each time we carry out this operation we are reminded what a difference it makes to the recovery process for victims and for justice.

"The timely and persistent arrest of wanted offenders has always been important and a priority for any police force but Hatay brings together different skills, techniques and resources."
