DUCK herding is among the family festivities on offer at Croft Carnival on Saturday.
K9 Quackers is putting on a show on the Smithy Lane playing field which involves a sheepdog herding ducks through various obstacles.
Other attractions include comedy wrestling show, the 'Battling Cumberland Giants', Eclipse jazz band and Thelwall Morris Men.
The carnival starts with a parade of floats which leaves The Plough pub at noon in the direction of Kenyon Lane.
There will then be a crowning ceremony on the Smithy Lane playing field at about 1.15pm.
Eight-year-old Rosa Sakhi, from Croft Primary School, will take the crown this year as carnival queen.
Carnival princess is Rianna Blood, aged eight, and rosebud is seven-year-old Casey Skinner.
Crown bearer this year is six-year-old Finn Marshall.
