LOVEABLE cats and kittens will be purring for the perfect owner at an open day at Cats Protection's Warrington adoption centre in Padgate on July 25.

Residents can meet the 60 furry felines awaiting a second chance in life at the centre, on Elizabeth Drive.

Among the many cats looking for homely warmth is Cora and those attending will be given the chance to discuss with centre staff whether they may be the right people to offer her the home she requires.

Anna Saillet, from the town's adoption centre, said: "The open day is a great opportunity to enjoy some summertime fun, while supporting the charity which finds new homes for the many unwanted and abandoned cats that come into its care."

A number of stalls will be open and activities put on, while children will get the chance to enjoy a spot of face painting.

All of the centre will be open so everyone will get the chance to see each of the adorable animals.

The day will run from 11am to 3pm and admission is free for all but donations towards the work of the centre are welcome.
