RESIDENTS at a Penketh care home have been treated to a day of entertainment.
Three Elms Residential Home threw open its doors to the public, who were invited to look around and get a feel for the home, as part of National Care Homes Open Day on Friday.
Residents and visitors enjoyed a coffee morning, a fancy goods sale and entertainment from singing duo Tuxedo Junction.
The mayor Geoff Settle and the mayoress, Jean, also came along to meet residents and staff.
They were given a tour of the home and even joined in with the singing.
Home manager Helen Crowshaw said: “All in all it was a great day and the public that came left with a different view of what they had expected from a care home.
“All the staff are already talking about next year’s open day with enthusiasm.”
