THEY looked pretty in pink and as 1,200 women headed out through the streets of Warrington at midnight last night, it was safe in the knowledge that between them they have managed to raise many thousands of pounds.
It was the 10th anniversary of St Rocco's Starlight Ladies Walk and thanks to the efforts of the walkers, marshalls, organisers and members of the public who have given generous donations, more than £128,000 has been pledged in sponsorship alone.
Warrington Guardian chief photographer Mike Boden was on hand at the starting line as those taking part limbered up for their 6.5-mile or 13-mile route.
