FAMILIES packed the streets for the annual Lymm May Queen festival on Saturday.
Hundreds of residents, young and old, took part in the village parade which included the official crowning of two new queens.
Rebecca Chapman, aged 12, is this year's May Queen, while seven-year-old Elizabeth Nelson took the crown of Rose Queen.
Among those present was town crier Peter Powell, who celebrated his 21st Lymm May Queen event in the role.
"It is great to see so many people of all ages here on the streets - it really is lovely," he said.
"I have done this for many years now and it is always nice to see and is something which I always look forward to.
"My favourite part of the day is the crowning of the queen - that is at the top of the tree but all parts of the day are great.
"The atmosphere is terrific, you can just see everyone having a good time with each other while everything goes on around them."
The theme for the day was a 'collection of all themes' covered in previous years.
School children and groups displayed a variety of colourful themes including Grease, Hawaii life and Alice in Wonderland.
