ALMOST five months have passed since courageous teenager Molly Beechall from Appleton lost her battle to beat cancer.

But the legacy of the former Warrington Collegiate student lives on as friends and family rally together to raise vital funds for the Shannon Bradshaw Trust in her memory.

A charity fight night is to be held on June 13 at the Village Hotel in Centre Park with former world champion boxer Martin Murray set to make an appearance.

Molly's mum, Lee-anne Ingle, who counts the last five months as the most difficult time of her life, said she is lost for words to see the number of people who have been inspired by her only daughter's fight.

This outpouring of love and support following the 19-year-old's death has acted as source of comfort when Lee-anne needed it most.

The 40-year-old, of Ash Lane, Appleton, said she is now looking to the future and wants to do right by Molly as she brings up her daughter, Lola-Sue, aged 22 months.

A recent trip to a spiritualist was one of the turning points after Molly died at Clatterbridge Hospital on Tuesday, January 13, - just three months after being diagnosed with secondary bone disease.

Lee-anne said: "I recently went to see a spiritualist and she told me that when Lola-Sue and I kiss Molly's picture at night she is always there.

"Until someone close to you passes away you don't really think about what happens.

"It has brought me comfort to know she is there and knows how much we miss her."

While life will never be the same for the family, Lee-anne has a mini Molly in the form of Lola-Sue, who has kept her busy.

"She is the image of her but Lola has got more of a personality,” she said.

"Molly was quiet until she became a teenager. It was her older brother Zak who was the loud one."

Ticket are now on sale for the fundraiser organised in memory of Molly with prices starting from £25.
