Fire crews tackle Sankey Bridges kitchen blaze
EMERGENCY services were called to a house in Sankey Bridges on Sunday morning following a fire in the kitchen.
Two fire crews went to Old Liverpool Road at 7.15am and used a hose reel to tackle the flames.
One of the occupants was treated by ambulance crews after suffering with smoke inhalation.
Fire officers say the home was fitted with smoke alarms which alerted the residents.
