THE polls have opened across Warrington.
Residents have until 10pm to decide on the next MPs for the town's two seats in parliament, for 19 council seats and in parish council by-elections.
In Warrington North, Richard Short (Conservative), Helen Jones (Labour), Stefan Krizanac (Liberal Democrat), Trevor Nicholls (UKIP) and Sarah Hayes (Green) will stand.
In Warrington South, Bob Barr (Liberal Democrat), Nick Bent (Labour), David Mowat (Conservative), Steph Davies (Green), Kevin Bennett (TUSC) and Malcolm Lingley (UKIP) are on the ballot paper.
Thousands will vote across town with results expected in the early hours.
Queues have been reported at polling stories across Warrington.
