RESIDENTS will get the chance to quiz representatives from all political parties on their plans for the town just a week before the elections at a hustings session at Friends Meeting House.
Cllr Russ Bowden (LAB - Birchwood), the town's Liberal Democrat leader, Cllr Ian Marks and Conservative candidate for Birchwood, Nigel Balding, will be present on April 29.
Also joining are UKIP's Warrington North candidate Trevor Nicholls, Warrington South's Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition candidate, Kevin Bennett and Green Party candidate for Fairfield and Howley, Lyndsay McAteer.
John Shipley, who has organised the event, said: "The debate is, as far as I can tell, the first time the public have had the opportunity to quiz Warrington's political parties on their plans for the town in the run up to an election.
"The main aims are to increase interest in how the town is run after last year's turnout and to encourage people to 'think local, vote local' rather than necessarily voting for the same party as in the General Election."

The venue is on the corner of Buttermarket Street, with parking available opposite.
