ANGRY residents have been calling for answers after diggers started ripping down trees near the embankment at the back of Our Lady's Primary School in Latchford.
Residents said they were upset to see developers move onto the site near Wash Lane on Friday with no warning as they thought an environmental impact assessment would be taking place first as there are a number of foxes and badgers in the area.
A council spokesman said: “Although the council does not own this land, the planning enforcement team has investigated following residents’ concerns.
“As a result the council has not found any breaches of planning control.
"We understand that the activity has now ceased.”
