Winger with express pace who had a prolific scoring record in the lower grades, Penny has enjoyed a rapid promotion from the Wolves' Junior Academy to the first team squad, and made his Super League debut against St Helens in the final home game of 2006. He represented England Academy against France and Australian Schoolboys in 2006. Was named Wolfpack U18 Player of the Year in 2006.
