JAMES (Jim) Spiers, husband of Mrs Chris Spiers, died on November 23 aged 65.
Mr Spiers lived in the Warrington area all his life.
He was first employed at Radiation Creda, Rylands Rubery Owen and several other companies before studying photography at college and became a professional photographer working at Friars Gate Studio. While at Friars Gate he won a Kodak Award for Wedding Photography. After the closure of the studio he worked at Wasey Exhausts but continued with his wedding photography.
Mr Spiers enjoyed holidays in Scotland, scenic photography and after retirement took a keen interest in gardening, especially growing vegetables.
He leaves his wife, a son, two grandsons and a step-grandson.
A service was held on December 4 at Walton Lea, followed by cremation. The Rev Jacqueline Taylor officiated.
Arrangements were made by Knox & Son.
