JOHN Frank Le Page, husband of the late Mrs Mary Le Page, died on December 14 aged 88.
Mr Le Page, from Lymm,was born in Guernsey.
He was employed at Wilkinsons Tools as a hand tool maker, and later worked at Lymm Golf Club as a handyman until retiring at 77.
Between 1944 and1948 he served with the Royal Scots Fusilliers and The Royal Norfolk Regiment.
At the age of 14 Mr Le Page was an evacuee from Guernsey and came to Warburton, Lymm.
He enjoyed cycling, gardening and football and in his early years had played for Lymm Rovers. He also liked watching horse racing on TV and loved the company of all his family.
Mr Page leaves three daughters, six grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.
A service was held on December 23 at Walton Lea, followed by cremation. The Rev Graham Houghton officiated.
