SPORTS car drivers are being urged to be vigilant after two Audis were targeted overnight in Birchwood and Rixton.
It is thought that a man was attempting to steal a high performance Audi from a home in Killingworth Avenue, Birchwood, yesterday, Wednesday, at 11.20pm but the owner was alerted when they spotted the culprit in their back garden.
Just hours later an Audi A4 was stolen in School Lane, Rixton at about 1.30am.
Police are urging that residents ensure their security lighting and cameras are working, house alarms are operated and gates are locked. Steering locks and tracker devices are also recommended.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "Additional officers are on patrol in the area and by working together, we can make a significant impact in reducing and detecting crime.
If you can help the police with their investigation call 101.
