HER unwavering bravery and unbreakable smile during her fight to beat cancer were described as an inspiration to many.

But courageous teenager Molly Beechall, from Appleton, lost her battle against the devastating disease on Tuesday, January 13.

The 19-year-old – also known as Molliey - died at Clatterbridge Hospital just three months after being diagnosed with secondary bone disease for which there is no known cure.

Her heartbroken mum, Lee-anne Ingle, paid tribute to her ‘strong princess’ who touched the lives of so many and will never be forgotten.

She said: “I'm proud to have been able to be her mum and best friend for the past 19 years.

“I have never experienced pain like this in my life. I feel like my heart has been ripped out

“But she will live on in her beautiful daughter Lola-Sue.”

The past 12 months have been an incredibly difficult time for Molly and her family after the then 18-year-old was diagnosed with throat cancer.

Despite undergoing a gruelling course of treatment, in October Molly was informed of the heartbreaking news that the cancer had spread to her bones and it was terminal.

The former Bridgewater High School was determined not to let her diagnosis dictate her life and vowed to make precious memories with her one-year-old daughter and her loved ones.

“Christmas was a really special time and we were even able to go away,” recalled Lee-anne, who said she was overcome by the outpouring of love for her daughter following her death.

But in the new year, Molly started to struggle to walk due to numbness in her legs and later suffered from a fall which left her with no option but to return to hospital.

Following an MRI scan, the former Warrington Collegiate student was told there was a tumour pressing on her spine for which she would need radiotherapy.

But on Monday, January 12, Lee-anne was called into the hospital where she was told her little girl may only have a matter of days or weeks to live.

She died the next day with her mum by her side.

Molly will be remembered by Lee-anne as a determined young woman who never let any obstacles stop her from achieving her goals.

She said: “Even when she found out she was pregnant she told me she would finish college and she did.

“Even when she was ill she was e-mailing the college to get her work. I am so proud of her.”

The funeral will take place on Thursday, February 5, at St Benedict's Church in Orford at 12.45pm.

Molly’s final wish was to make sure her daughter had the best future she could have.

Well-wishers have been asked to make a donation to Molly’s Memories instead of buying flowers.
