A WOMAN was cut from her car by fire crews after a crash involving a lorry on Brick Street this morning - the second collision in Warrington town centre today, Friday.
She has been taken to Warrington Hospital by ambulance, but her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The accident was reported at 10.46am.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "Police received reports of a road traffic collision on Brick Street in Warrington near to the Cockhedge roundabout.
Upon arrival, officers found the female driver of a Ford Fiesta trapped in her vehicle, following a collision with an HGV.
"Colleagues from Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service released the driver from the vehicle, and she was passed to the care of the ambulance service.
"She had sustained minor injuries.
"Road closures were placed at the Cockhedge roundabout entrance into Brick Street to deal with the incident, but the road has since been re-opened."
Congestion was caused on neighbouring roads with drivers advised to avoid the area.
Traffic heading into the town centre was affected.
