WOOLSTON Learning Village sixth form students have followed in the footsteps of artist Andy Warhol and have created a collection of pop art pieces.

As part of a 12 week course at Warrington Collegiate, the students hosted a pop-up gallery on Thursday at the college on Winwick Road to showcase their work.

This was the first time many of students had exhibited their art.

Tutor Esther Grundy said: “The youngsters really engaged with the theme and are very enthusiastic about creating their own pieces.”

Neil Bothwell, from Woolston Sixth Form, added: “This has been a great opportunity for our students to experience a larger college environment and work with new staff.

“Esther and Karen Keavey, who is the learner facilitator, have been brilliant with the students. They have all got so much from the experience.”
