MRS Mary Elizabeth Teresa Whitfield, wife of the late Mr Eric Whitfield, died on August 24, aged 90.
Mrs Whitfield of Callands Care Home, lived in the Warrington area all her life.
She was a longstanding member of St John’s Mission Church and in her earlier years she was a member of Padgate Bowling and Tennis Club, Padgate Lane, and the Warrington Women’s Co-operative Guild.
Mrs Whitfield enjoyed dancing with her late husband for many years at Monks and Rylands Social Clubs.
She loved the company of all her family, especially her grandchildren.
She leaves a son, a daughter and five grandchildren.
A service was held on September 8 at St Elphin Church, Church Street, Howley, followed by cremation at Walton Lea.
The Rev Chris Waddleton officiated.
Arrangements were made by Knox & Son.
