MRS Irene Buckley, wife of Mr David Buckley, died on September 11, aged 84.

Mrs Buckley, of Parr Care Home, St Helens, had lived in various areas of Warrington including Latchford, Sankey Bridges, Orford, Great Sankey and Newton-le-Willows.

She was employed at the Co-operative Printing Works, then later was employed in a home brew shop in Newton and then on a bric-a-brac stall on Earlestown Market, then became an antique dealer.

In her younger days she enjoyed dancing to the big bands and touring holidays at home and abroad.

She enjoyed looking after her cats, and visiting her daughter in London.

Mrs Buckley leaves her husband and a daughter.

A celebration of her life was held on October 2 at Walton Lea, followed by cremation.

Celebrant Jacqueline Taylor officiated.

Arrangements were made by Knox & Son.
