Mr Terry Birchall, husband of the late Mrs Josie Birchall, died on October 14 aged 82.
Mr Birchall, from Thelwall, lived in the Warrington area all his life.
He was employed at J Crosfield & Son, York Trailers and North Cheshire HGV before setting up his own HGV training business in Warrington which he ran with his wife.
Mr Birchall enjoyed gardening, bowling at Grappenhall Ex-Serviceman’s and holidays abroad. He dedicated a lot of time to Thelwall & Grappenhall British Legion and was awarded the RBL Gold Badge for services to the Poppy Appeal.
Mr Birchall leaves three daughters, two sons, two grandchildren, a great-grandchild and a sister.
A service was held on October 27 at Blessed John Henry Newman RC Church, followed by cremation at Walton Lea. The Rev Father Montgomery officiated.
