THE outstanding successes of students at Warrington Collegiate were a cause for celebration at the Higher Education Awards Ceremony.

More than 600 guests attended the graduation at St Elphin's Church to honour the determination and commitment of students who have completed HNCs, HNDs, teacher training, higher level apprenticeships and professional qualifications.

Principal, Paul Hafren said: “Our students work hard to produce fantastic results and the ceremony is a great way to recognise their achievements.

"Students at Warrington Collegiate graduate not only with a qualification, but also with a collection of unforgettable memories and lasting friendships."

Several students also received special awards for their outstanding achievements in their subject areas.

The Outstanding Group of the Year Award was awarded to students studying HND in sports and exercise sciences which includes Warrington Wolves Simon Grix.

Gillian Teare, Nathan Higgins, Aleksejs Karpenko, Craig Hunter, Christian-Paul White, Mollie Beechall and Michael Naylor were also presented with special recognition awards for their hard work during their studies.
