THE Warrington Guardian and BiG Storage Active Toy appeal is already on track to top last year's record-breaking figures but more help is still needed.

Since its launch last week, gifts have already been arriving in their droves with thanks to the generosity of the people of Warrington.

BiG Storage’s Toy Appeal coordinator Paul Whittaker said: “We have been truly astounded over the years at readers’ generosity and we never fail to be touched by individual stories as well as local businesses that go out of their way to help the local charities selected for this year’s appeal”.

BiG Storage has this week joined forces with Active Archie and the team at Active Cheshire, who were stunned to see how generous the community and Guardian readers have already been.

Anne Boyd CEO of Active Cheshire, said: “We believe that every child should have access to sport and fitness opportunities and this is a great way of equipping them with the tools to get active, whilst also helping those in need to enjoy Christmas."

Gifts for the appeal can be dropped off at BiG Storage on Manchester Road, Woolston, the Warrington Guardian office on Bridge Street or at The Halliwell Jones Stadium

Toys are needed for youngsters up to the age of 16 and presents need to be unwrapped so the right gift can be given to the right home.
