MOTORWAY police have released an image of someone riding a bike on the M62 at Burtonwood - in the opposite direction to traffic.
The image, posted on the North West Motorway Police Twitter page, appears to show someone on a push bike on the hard shoulder of the motorway, travelling against the flow of traffic.
It was taken from a traffic camera and posted on Tuesday.
"We're thinking of doing a step by step guide of what not to do on a motorway - Lesson 1," said police.
Officers added by the time they arrived at the scene, the culprit was gone.
