A REMEMBRANCE service to honour those who fought for their country will be held on Tuesday, November 11, under the canopy of the Old Market Square.
The firing of maroon rockets off the town hall roof will mark the start and finish of a two-minute silence, which will take place at the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month.
The Reverend Stephen Kingsnorth will be conducting the service and the Mayor of Warrington, Clr Ted Finnegan, will lead the public tribute for the Royal British Legion’s two-minute silence.
Guests are invited to gather from 10.30am.
