LUCK has struck twice at a Woolston workplace after a dad of four was revealed as the second winner at Norbert Dentressangle to scoop up millions of pounds on the national lottery.

Simon Rustage, from Warrington, is celebrating 15 years of good fortune after winning the top prize on the National Lottery Mega Rich Scratchcard.

The 47-year-old Warrington Wolves fan is set to enjoy £250,000 every year for the next 15 years.

This is the second piece of National Lottery luck to strike his work after his colleagues enjoyed a similar fortune earlier this year.

In January a team of workers and former workers picked up £1.7m Lotto Jackpot.

Following his win, the dad of four no longer needs to worry about how he will pay the electricity bill so he can watch his beloved Warrington Wolves on the TV.

He can now afford to pay for a season ticket or ten but his first priority is treating his loved ones.

The 47-year-old, who was born and bred in the town, said: "I actually couldn't believe what I was seeing and I had to pass it to the shop assistant who confirmed that I had won £250,000.

"I was absolutely delighted - things like this don't happen to me."

But his luck had not run out yet and he was later told he had actually won £250,000 for the next decade and a half.

Simon, who works at Norbert Dentressangle in Woolston, says he has not had much time to plan a shopping list but a Wolves season ticket is certainly a high priority.

He added: "It's absolutely unbelievable. This is just the best prize ever.

"It is like having a job with a £250,000 salary but not actually going into work.

"I am going to take my time over what I do and how I spend the money."

Despite his win, Simon has no plans to quit his job but may consider going part-time once he has had the opportunity to let the news sink in.

It was also good fortune which led Simon to buy the £10 scratchcard from the Bridge Lane Store in Appleton.

Having previously won £110 on goals galore, he decided to splash on the pricey scratchcard on Sunday instead of buying the usual £2 ones.

He put this down to 'feeling lucky' and his intuition did not let him down.

Now Simon, who usually buys his ticket from the same shop, is looking forward to the future and making sure his children are 'happy and settled'.

Simon's win also secured his workplace the title as one of the luckiest places to work in Warrington.
