A 15-YEAR-OLD is hoping a musical powerhouse with Warrington connections which helped launch the career of Kylie can do the same for her.

Georgia Williams, of Malborough Crescent, Stockton Heath, has handed down to London this week to record with part of the illustrious Stock, Aitken and Waterman after a whirlwind week saw her win a place in a new girl group.

The youngster, who is a pupil at The Grange in Northwich, was amazed to find out she had been chosen as one of four girls for The Picadillys, a new girl group created by radio station Key 103.

Georgia was chosen after winning out in a public vote to choose three of the foursome from a shortlist of 10 with the judges selected the fourth spot.

She said: "We went in to the studio and they told us there and then.

"I had no idea, when they said my name I couldn't believe it. It took me a couple of days to take it in.

"It's all going really fast, I'm loving every second of it.

"I have had so much support, everyone has been brilliant.

"I couldn't have asked for more support. I went round Walton Gardens and I asked random people I had never met and they were really supportive.

"It was really nice how Warrington came together to help me."

And as well as recording their first single, which is due to be released on December 4, Georgia along with bandmates January, Emily and Belle have been on dance lessons to perfect the routine.

The group have also been signed up to perform in front of thousands at the Phones 4 U Arena in Manchester for the Key 103 ball.

But the teen is taking it all in her stride.

"Since I was tiny I have always wanted to perform," added Georgia.
