A MAN carrying a knife was tasered by Cheshire Police officers called to investigate a burglary in Appleton.

Police went to the address on Ash Lane at 5.30pm on Monday, with a manhunt launched.

At around 7.50pm, a 38-year-old man, from Warrington, was located on Church Street in the town centre, carrying a bladed weapon and acting in an 'aggressive manner'.

"In the interests of safety to the public, officers and the man himself, specialist officers discharged a taser to effectively restrain the man, and subsequently arrested him," said a police spokesman.

"He was taken to hospital to be checked over and remains in custody."

Or CPS won't prosecute or it will get to court and be dropped for lack of evidence!

PageA how would you like to walk into your house with your wife and child and find some scumbag robbing you? Yes I very much doubt you would. You defend the undefendable and think you are always right! this scumbag also took drugs (injectable) in the house when I have a grandchild running around in my house. YES it was my house he robbed, took my possessions and he was so off his face could have stabbed me as I found him in my kitchen robbing me!!!!!! SO F**K OFF PageA you wouldn't like it to happen to you. I am so grateful that the police caught him he deserves what is coming.

Pagey... you really are a master of the politics of envy. I very much doubt that foie gras & pheasant were the target of this thieving scumbag, more likely the electronic goods that people have worked hard for. Whatever, he had no right to be there, armed and attempting to steal. The reports indicate he was aggressive and out of control, and no person or family should be subjected to that. To attempt to belittle their experience with inverse snobbery really does you no credit, and you should apologize.

Yeah..maybe i (because i think that's who you are referring to) had an earlier version of this story in my cache before it was updated or perhaps i missed what is glaringly obvious now when i first read the story, but for whatever reason i didn't see any mention of a burglary taking place, just an agitated man being tasered in the street. Sorry for the confusion caused I am glad that no one was hurt and that the criminal was caught. Anyhow..everything happens for a reason. A simple google search will show Grumpy parent's derogatory comments about other numerous other wards of the town and his boast regarding sending his children to private school whilst others suffered with poor ofsted inspections. Glad every one is ok Grumpy, and all the personal comments you have made about me and my family over the last year are forgotten about..including your earlier expletive on here. I really did have you down as the lord of the manor though.. a lesson learned.

Nice to see apologies from you Pagey... even if you do have to spoil them with additional trolling. A quick graceful apology would have been nicer. Some people choose to spend their money on drink, smoking, drugs, tattoos, big screen TVs, some people prefer to spend it on their child's education. Surely there's not a problem with that?

Sorry for the confusion caused I am glad that no one was hurt and that the criminal was caught. Anyhow..everything happens for a reason. A simple google search will show Grumpy parent's derogatory comments about other numerous other wards of the town and his boast regarding sending his children to private school whilst others suffered with poor ofsted inspections. Glad every one is ok Grumpy, and all the personal comments you have made about me and my family over the last year are forgotten about..including your earlier expletive on here. I really did have you down as the lord of the manor though.. a lesson learned.[/p][/quote]Nice to see apologies from you Pagey... even if you do have to spoil them with additional trolling. I have no issue with people spending their hard earned on their children's education. I have no issue with people who attend or attended public school. And that wasn't trolling..that was closure... But this story isn't about any of this so i bid you adieu.
