A MAN carrying a knife was tasered by Cheshire Police officers called to investigate a burglary in Appleton.
Police went to the address on Ash Lane at 5.30pm on Monday, with a manhunt launched.
At around 7.50pm, a 38-year-old man, from Warrington, was located on Church Street in the town centre, carrying a bladed weapon and acting in an 'aggressive manner'.
"In the interests of safety to the public, officers and the man himself, specialist officers discharged a taser to effectively restrain the man, and subsequently arrested him," said a police spokesman.
"He was taken to hospital to be checked over and remains in custody."
