THE sky’s the limit for one teenager from Callands who is on the road to success after taking the first step on the career ladder.
Andy Everest was delighted when his work experience turned into a permanent position.
The 19-year-old, who studied aviation at Warrington Collegiate, is now a member of the ground crew at City Airport and Heliport, Manchester.
He said: “I’m extremely pleased to be offered a job here. I’ve enjoyed a wide variety of opportunities from marshalling, refuelling helicopters to landing aircraft and really feel I’m gaining an insight into how the airline industry operates.
“City Airport has ambitions to extend its general aviation activities and I’m looking forward to being part of that expansion.”
